SLJ Week 3 Day 2 activity 2
Someone I know who faced a big challenge and overcame it was was my pony, Casper. On Eves pony camp, last year and this year, we went swimming with our ponies down at the river. Casper was not a big fan of swimming, but with some encouragement, he finally went in and swam. After that, I let him roll 4 times in the sand as a reward. Casper loved going swimming!

For this activity I chose the first picture:

When I look at this picture, I see half of the picture as day, the other half as night. On the day side, (left) black geese/ducks are flying, which is just like the right side (night) except it's opposite colours. The paddocks below the birds are slowly transforming into the birds. This image is symmetrical.

SLJ Week 3 Day 1 Activity 2
SLJ Week 3 Day 1 Activity 2
If I got to make my own youtube channel, it would be about me and my pony. I would post videos of my riding, how I care for Casper, (my pony) and how to's for Equine stuff. This would also be a good way for us to see how much we have progressed in the last few weeks, months and years.
When I watch youtube, my favourite youtuber is 'This Esme'. She does riding and also has a pony called Casper!

For this activity I chose my horse riding Instructor who is also my farrier, Eve Hawes. Eve is a really good rider who knows a lot about horses. She owns her own horses and also trains horses. Eve competes around the country at shows and eventing. Her piece of advice is:
"Practice makes you successful. It takes you 10,00 hours of practise to become great at anything... so if you ride one horse for an hour a day it will take you 27 years and 144 days to be great at it. The more you practise the faster you'll get there."

Week Two Day One Activity One
Week Two Day One Activity One
4. One of the things that our family and neighbors do a lot is going to lake brunner with our boats. Going to the lake is lot's of fun, the things we do their include swimming, paddle-boarding/kayaking, water skiing, wake boarding and biscuiting.
1. My favourite thing to do is Horse Riding. I love riding my pony Casper, who is a grey Welsh Pony that is 12 years old. We both love jumping and we jump around 75 - 80 cm and have done a Pony Club teams jumping event in Motueka.
2. My next favourite thing to do is Reading. I like Adventure, fantasy animals and especially Animals. My favourite books are Horse books by Stacy Gregg. My 5 favourite books are The Diamond Horse, the Girl who Rode the Wind, Thunderbolt Pony, The Fire Stallion and The Princess and the Foal.
3. Next is spending time with our pets. We have a Black Labrador dog called Belle, a blue russian cat called Cufur, a Standardbred horse called Sammy and of course my pony Casper. Belle loves tummy rubs and going for runs around the farm. Cufur loves to follow me everywhere and cheer me up when I'm sad. Sammy Loves getting his face rubbed, especially around the eyes and being brushed. Casper loves jumping and eating.

5. Since we live on a dairy farm, my sister and I help out on the farm a lot. We milk 350 cows on our dairy farm.

Here are 3 of my most treasured things:
3. One of the things that I treasure is a blanket that I use to go to sleep with when I was a baby. Although I don't use it now, I still have it.
2. Something that is very important to me is a picture that I got for my birthday when I was turning 10. It is of me and my very first pony laying down. He was a chestnut Shetland Pony gelding. We first got him when he was 19 years old and sold him when he was 22. He is still with the people we sold him to having a great time.

I ride him around the farm, at pony club and shows. Our favourite thing to do is jumping and are currently jumping at 75 - 80 cm. I trust him a lot and together we can do lots of tricks and really cool things. I love my pony, Casper.
