SLJ Week 4 Day 5 Activity 3
I have really enjoyed doing the Summer Learning Journey this year. I think one of my favourite activities would have to be making my Text Graphic because I liked finding a really cool quote and finding a nice picture to match.
I didn't really have a least favourite activity that I did. I enjoyed them all and I am looking forward to the next SLJ.
Three things that I have learnt from the Summer Learning Journey would be:
1. How Twenty Seven Names got its name.
2. The Dettifoss Waterfall in Iceland (When I was making my guide to Iceland).
3. MC Escher is a famous artist who makes symmetrical paintings/drawings.
Some things that could possibly change are:
1. More activities were you can create things like the Text Graphic
2. More activities where you go outside
3. I think it would be cool if there was a week about animals. Like famous animals or animals that changed the world.

I chose this quote because I think it is very important and that people should listen to it. I think people shouldn't give up, even if it seems impossible. If you do it, then it's no longer impossible.

For this activity, I chose these two images:
Similarities: Both of these images our about animals and nature.
In both of the art works, the animals have also been done realistically and not in cartoon.
Differences: The top image contains more darker and duller colours while the bottom image is bright and colorful.
The top artwork is portrait while the bottom artwork has been done landscape.

How did the famous brand Twenty Seven Names get its name? Well, the brand was originally called Love Lies Bleeding. This was in 2006. However, they found out that their brand name was already a copyrighted brand name by a company in the US.
"We didn't have the capacity to get into an international legal battle and decided to re-name our brand". Stewart said. So while they were thinking of a new name, they wrote down all of the names of people who had helped out to "get the label off the ground". When they counted out how many names were on that list, there were 27. That's how they got their brand name, Twenty Seven Names.
I think that this a good brand name for them. I think that because, as well as a good brand name, it is a good way of remembering those who helped out this brand.

If I got the chance to do a 20 - 40 hour famine, I would do it. The reason I would do it is because then you know what people that don't have much food and are always very hungry feel like. This would help you understand what they are going through and then you could try to help them by sponsoring charities like world vision. Our family sponsors world vision. We sponsor a 12 year old girl called Djenabou who lives in Mali which is in Africa.

SLJ Week 4 Day 3 Activity 2

If I got to create my own movie, it would defiantley be about me and my pony, Casper. It would be about everything we have done together, the challenges we have done together and all of the funny things we have done. If I got to do this, there would be 2 parts of my movie, Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 would be from my perspective and me telling the story. Part 2 would be from Caspers view and he would tell the story. The name of my story would be something like Casper and I. The main character would be Casper. Casper would be the star of the Show.

When I'm older, I want to be a famous Horse Rider. I would like to compete around the world at some of the most famous events like Badminton Horse Trials, Kentucky Rolex and Burghley. I would either like to do Eventing which is Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping or just a famous Show Jumper. Before I do this I think it would be cool to work at lots of different stables everywhere. This would be good because then you can learn lots of different things, tips and tricks.
