SLJ Week One, Day 3, Activity One
If I got to have any 3 super powers, these are the ones I'd chose:
1. Communicating with animals - I would chose this because then I would always know what my pony is thinking and wanting to do when I am spending time with him and riding him.
2. Shape Shifting - I'd chose this super power so that I could change into any animal. This way I could fly and breath under-water.
3. See the future - The reason I would chose this is because it would be useful so you could see what's going to happen and can avoid bad things.
Welcome to my blog, I am a student at Paparoa Range School in Blackball, on the West Coast of New Zealand.

SLJ 2019 Week One Day Two Activity Three
Week One Day Two Activity Three
A time when I was brave was when I broke my little finger on my left hand at school catching a rugby ball. I ended up going home when I showed my teacher that it had swollen up past the size of my thumb and I couldn't move it. It stuck out at a funny angle too. The next day, it was still like this. So I went to the hospital. After a few hours of having it looked at and getting results from X-rays, they said it was broken. They made me suck a pain relief up my nose and gave me laughing gas which made me laugh, tell dumb jokes and cry. This was so I couldn't feel anything, except I still could feel everything they were doing to my finger. Since it was sticking out at a funny angle, they had to reset my broken finger, which means rebreaking it to get it in the right place. That was painful. When this was happening, I think I was brave.
This was my finger 2 weeks after I had broken it, it was still very bruised.

My 10 food items:
1. Milk - I wouldn't bring fresh cows milk, I would bring long UHT milk because this lasts longer than fresh cows milk.
6. Carrots - Like apples and potatoes, carrots keep for a while. You can cook them or just have them as a snack.
7. Chocolate - As long as it stays out of the sun, chocolate lasts a long time. Also, it's very tasty!
8. Rice - Rice is really filling and it keeps well. You can also mix different things with it.
9. Bags of chips - They are a good snack and are tasty!
10. Eggs - You can have eggs lots of different ways, they last a long time and are yummy.

1. Milk - I wouldn't bring fresh cows milk, I would bring long UHT milk because this lasts longer than fresh cows milk.
2. Weetbix - I would take weetbix because it's a good breakfast cereal that fills you up and they are easy to store since they are in a cardboard box, as long as they don't get wet.
3. Apples - The reason I would take apples is because they keep for a long time, are a good snack and are tasty!
4. Tinned Food - like fruit, baked beans and spaghetti. Tinned food keeps for a long time which would be good on an ocean voyage.
5. Potatoes - Potatoes last for a long time and you can cook them lot's of different ways.

WLJ 2019 Day One Activity One
Day 1: Once upon a time in Olympia
If I got to participate in one of these events, I would chose the Horse and Chariot races. The reason I would chose this event is because I love Horses/Ponies and equestrian things. I think that this would be fun because you get to care for the Horses and then race them.

2019 Toki Film Festival
Feed-Back
Altogether this was good. Although we were sitting down for too long. Something that could be worked on in the films is the audio.

Maths
In Maths this week, we have been learning about Measurements and what you use to weigh certain things (Kg, g, t). So, yesterday we did baking for maths. The day before, we got into groups of 3 or 4 and decided what we would each bring and what we would bake. I was in a group with Quinn, Regan and I. We decided that we would bake Weetbix Slice. In our recipe we had 1 cup of Flour, 1/2 cups Sugar, 4 weetbix super crushed up, 1 tsp of Baking Powder, 1 T of cocoa, 150g melted butter and 1/2 a tsp vanilla essence. When it was all done, it tasted delicious. Here is what we made...

Broken Finger
Last week on Tuesday, I was playing a rugby game called Tennis. This is when there are two teas and you have to kick the Rugby ball to each team and catch it. I went to go catch the rugby ball, but the ball had others ideas. It hit the end of my little finger on my left hand and made it stick outwards. I couldn't move it at all and it had swollen bigger than my thumb. It also bruised, a green spew colour. I Went home that day, but everyone thought it was only sprained, so t wasn't until the next day that I went to the hospital. I first had to tell a nurse everything that happened, then we waited for an hour to get an X-Ray. I had an X-Ray and then we had to wait an hour and a half until they told me that it was broken. They brought me into a room where I had to have pain killer up my nose and then I had laughing gas. The Doctor then re broke my finger so that they could tape it to the finger beside it. It was a very painful day.
