SLJ Giants among us

I would love to visit Tāne Mahuta one day. The reasons I would is because this type of tree is only in New Zealand so not all people can see it. Also because I like doing bush walks and tramps.

  1. Hi Jess

I really do hope that one day you will be able to go and see Tane Mahuta. It truly is a magnificent sight to see. I am really lucky that I have seen this huge giant of the forest. The walk to get to it is very short but when you come around the corner and see it the first time it is really mind blowing. It is really massive. It is half the height of a rugby field.
Its a shame at the moment that there is a disease that is effection the kauri trees in Northland. I really hope that they are able to get it under control before it hurts anymore trees.
You will love the walk to the tree looking at all the other native trees and birds.

    Well done Jess.

    Until next time

    Allie :)
