SLJ Top 3

This year I am participating in the Summer Learning Journey. This is the first activity, 'Top 3'. All you have to do is post your favourite top 3 fun facts about New Zealand onto your blog. Here are mine...

1. Did you know that Dairy farmers produce a whopping 100 kg of butter and 65 kg of cheese each year for each person living in New Zealand?

2. Gisborne is the first city in the world to see the sunrise since it is 496.3 kilometers away from the International date line.

3. Did you know that 30% of New Zealand is forest?

  1. Hi Jess

Welcome back to the Summer Learning Journey for the 2018 summer. My name is Allie and I am the cluster manager for Toki Pounamu. I will be commenting on your blog this year.

We live in a really great place here in New Zealand. There are so many cool things to see and do.
You have made a great start to the programme.

We see some really beautiful sunsets here on the coast but I think it would be amazing to go to Gisborne and actually see the sunrise. I have never been to Gisborne but I do think I will have to add this to my bucket list.
Have you been to Gisborne or seen a sunrise? When I say sunrise I mean watching the sun come out of the sea!!

I am looking forward to reading your blog over the summer.
    Keep up the good work!

    Until next time

    Allie :)
