SLJ Midnight zone

Week: 2
Day: 3
Activity: 3

Adults can carry 25 kg so if I count in 25's, like this, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, 325, 350, 375, 400, 425, 450 that tells I would need 18 adults.
Children can carry 15 kg so if I count in 15's from where I left off there would need to be 3 children. 465, 480, 495
There is 5 kg left. If I had done it all with adults, you would need 20 adults but I used some children.Image result for colossal squid

  1. Hi Jess

Thanks for showing us all the options for working out this problem. There are a few different answers that you could get. Depending on whether you used more adults or children.
Just imagine having to lift a 500kg squid! Yuck! I am not sure that I would want to do this. I wonder what it would feel and smell like?

Have you seen the one at Te Papa in Wellington. If you haven't going to Te Papa is such a great experience for you and your family to do.

What is your favourite subject at school? Is it maths?

Great work with another activity. You have presented this one well as it is always good to show your working out to people/teachers so that they know that you have understood the problem.

    Well done Jess

    Until next time

    Allie :)
