In Flanders Field makes me feel grateful because I am reminded of the men who have sacrificed their lives in order for us to live in the peaceful New Zealand that we do today. The poem reminds me to be grateful to those people who have risked their lives for our peace. I am grateful that we no longer live in a country that is torn by war, but a country that is filled with freedom.
