Week 2, day 1

When I read the poem it made feel sad for all those people who died but it also made me feel lucky.

  1. Kia ora Jessica,

Great start describing how the poem made you feel. I like that you have said the poem makes you feel two emotions - sad and lucky. Are you able to tell me a little bit more about how and why the poem makes you feel this way? I'm really interested to hear more from you. You could even explain how it makes you feel sad and lucky in a reply to my comment. This way I will be able to give you full points for this activity. :)

In Flanders Field makes me feel grateful because I am reminded of the men who have sacrificed their lives in order for us to live in the peaceful New Zealand that we do today. The poem reminds me to be grateful to those people who have risked their lives for our peace. I am grateful that we no longer live in a country that is torn by war, but a country that is filled with freedom.

Looking forward to hearing from you! Keep up the great blogging.

    Noho ora mai,
    Emiely :)

  2. Hey Emiely,
It makes me feel sad that they died but lucky that we get to live in the New Zealand that we have today and that I didn't have to fight.
