Hi Jess
ReplyDeleteThis is a really great choice for you Bird of the Year activity. The whio is a great little bird.
Did you know that there are Whio at Moonlight?
My daughter did some work for DOC when she was at high school and they went out to moonlight to clear some of the tracks and keep on eye on the Whio that were there. She was really amazed that they were there. I think that this is pretty cool. It was a few years ago, so I hope that they are still there and doing ok.
The baby ducklings are so cute. Isn't it amazing at how they change so much from when they are a duckling to when they are fully grown.
It is great that you are also attributing your photos. Well done for doing this.
Until next time
Allie :)
